Saile (Nockspitze)

Start at the top station of the Birgitzköpfl lift at 2,035 m and follow the path to the right towards Saile (Nockspitze). Continue over beautiful plateaus with unique alpine flora (gentian, edelweiss, ...) to the summit cross at 2,404 m.

Walking time from the mountain station to the summit: approx. 1.5 hours; approx. 360 metres in altitude.

If you want to reach the second summit cross of the Saile (pre-summit), take the steep path down to the Spitzmandl, then turn left and walk up the ridge to the cross with a unique view of Innsbruck.

Descent as ascent.

If you want to climb the mountain without using the lift, you can take the path to the right of the valley station of the Birgitzköpfl lift ➝ continue towards the avalanche barrier ➝ left of the barrier, the path is quite steep towards the Birgitzköpfl lift (approx. 1.25 h; 460 m) or ➝ keep to the right of the barrier towards Halsl at 1,992 m (approx. 1.25 h; 415 m).
