Saile (Nockspitze) - Spitzmandl - Pfriemeswand - Zwölferspitz
Start at the top station of the Birgitzköpfllift at 2,035 m - from there turn right towards Saile (Nockspitze) via the path and beautiful plateaus with unique alpine flora (gentian, edelweiss, ...) to the summit cross at 2,404 m (approx. 1.5 h / 370 m ascent).
A little further on is the second summit cross of the Saile (pre-summit). Looking down towards Innsbruck, you can already see the summit cross of the Spitzmandl. The path to the Spitzmandl (2,206 m) is very steep and requires very surefootedness - walking poles are recommended (about 45 min). From there, take the same path back to the fork towards Pfriemeswand (2,103 m) (approx. 30 min). Beware of the very steep section - secured with a steel cable!
From the Pfriemeswand back to the Zwölferspitze junction. Approx. 15 minutes to the summit at 2,098 m. Return to the Birgitzköpfl lift mountain station (approx. 15 mins).
Total walking time: approx. 3.5 hours, approx. 430 metres up / 430 metres down / 6.5 km
Sure-footedness and sturdy footwear are essential!
If you prefer a steep ascent and a leisurely descent, you can do the 4 Peaks in reverse order.
