Funny Berglersteig
Ampferstein - Marchreisenspitze - teilweise Klettersteig (B)
From the Birgitzköpfl mountain station at 2,035 m towards Halsl at 1,992 m (path no. 7) - from there the Lustige Berglersteig (partly with ropes and artificial steps) leads first to the Ampferstein at 2,556 m, from there back down and on to the Marchreisenspitze at 2,620 m - descent as ascent.
Alternative descent: From the Marchreisen Peak, descend south towards the Stubai Valley and then ascend again to the Malgruben Gap - from here either turn left into the Stubai Valley or right over steep gravel paths into the Axamer Lizum Valley.
From the starting point at the Birgitzköpfl mountain station to the Marchreisenspitze: 634 m uphill and ↘ 130 m downhill, duration approx. 3.5 hours, route length approx. 3.9 km.
"Great view! Please note: alpine experience, a head for heights and sure-footedness are required. A climbing harness and helmet are strongly recommended. Not suitable for beginners or inexperienced walkers.
