Hochtennspitze via Hochtennboden

Take the Hoadlbahn cable car up to the sunny Hoadl plateau (2,340 m). From there turn left down the gravel path to the Hoadlsattel (2,264 m) - see signposts. Here take the path on the left to Hochtennboden (2,365 m). Bear right and follow the path, which is a little hard to see, southwards across the wide meadows. You will now pass some rocky pinnacles and towers and reach a wide, very steep scree gully leading to the summit of the Hochtennspitze at 2,549m.

Wonderful views over the Herzlteich lake, Innsbruck and the Stubai valley.

The climb above Hochtennboden is very steep and exposed in places! Alpine experience, sure-footedness and sturdy footwear required!
